Man dies as moped, car collide

A MOPED rider died in a collision with a car in Shanghai's Jing'an District yesterday. The man was believed to be a milk delivery worker, according to witnesses who said they saw broken milk bottles scattered around the scene. The driver of the car, a silver Porsche, is being questioned, police said. The accident happened at about 3:55am at the intersection of Jiangning Road and Haifang Road. Witnesses said the car's front windshield was damaged while the moped was almost destroyed. A taxi driver said the driver was insisting he "did not drive fast" and that the moped rider was running a red light.
